Thank you for taking the time to read this! I hope you not only find relevant, useful information in our planned giving updates but also inspiration hearing from our Delta Gamma sisters who have made the ultimate gift to our Foundation.

When I joined Delta Gamma almost 20 years ago, little did I know the many ways it would influence the trajectory of my life. Delta Gamma kept me grounded at college, when I was hundreds of miles away from home, and introduced me to strong, intelligent women. Delta Gamma led me to my husband (I married my pledge sister's brother!) and invested in me as a leader and a professional. Delta Gamma provided me an opportunity to advance my career while obtaining a master's degree and then offered me flexibility as I started a family.

Today I proudly serve Delta Gamma as the director of development and am celebrating 14 years at Delta Gamma executive offices. Reflecting on how Delta Gamma has enriched my life, my husband and I chose to include the Delta Gamma Foundation in our estate plan. It was an easy decision and very simple to execute. I listed the Delta Gamma Foundation as a beneficiary to a life insurance policy and am also considering adding the Foundation as a beneficiary to a 401(k) plan as well. I just located the change-of-beneficiary form online, updated the information and gave it to the benefits administrator.

Many of our sisters don't think to plan a gift for the future of Delta Gamma when there are so many other worthy causes and priorities. But when you reflect on your Delta Gamma experience, consider the ways in which this sisterhood has enriched your life. Leadership opportunities, long-lasting friendships, philanthropic service...And if you think those women who follow in our footsteps should have an opportunity to share a similar experience, consider paying it forward with a planned gift. I guarantee you won't regret it.
