Like most of us, my collegiate experience was life-changing. My sisters at Alpha Omega loved me, challenged me, and taught me through their love and support to be a better, stronger, kinder woman. I loved them all and cherish every memory, but I always knew there was more to this than my college experience alone.

I am a Delta Gamma and will be a Delta Gamma all my days. The relationships I have built through my alumnae experience continue to strengthen the bonds that began in my college years. And the link to both of those experiences is our Foundation.

The work of our Foundation—Service for Sight, Leadership Development, and Fellowship, and Scholarships and Loans—is life-changing as well. The opportunities we provide through our grants to national agencies that support our common emphasis on Service for Sight, the grants to our Delta Gamma affiliated schools, all make a real difference in the lives of people. The fellowships and scholarships we provide allow our members to reach their academic goals. We help our own through our Anchor Grants to members in times of great distress. Our new Sisters Helping Sisters need-based scholarships will provide assistance to collegiate members who never thought they would need to ask for help.

All of this is bigger than me, bigger than any collegiate or alumnae chapter, but not too big for Delta Gamma. I am a member of the Charter Group, and the Delta Gamma Foundation is part of my family's planned giving because I want these programs to continue; it's my way to cheer on the future work of the Foundation, just like I do today!
