Inspiring Her Fellow Delta Gammas

Beverly Brice LeBoeuf, Beta Psi–Alabama

Just two years after Beverly Brice LeBoeuf's chapter of initiation was closed by Council, her efforts to assist Beta Psi had not gone unnoticed, and she was offered the opportunity to become a Province 4 Collegiate Chairman. She then decided to continue to help Delta Gamma collegians by supporting them during their college years and beyond. If she could help struggling chapters to be better and to comfort those members who lost their chapter of initiation, then the experience of losing her chapter would have a positive impact.

Since that fateful decision, Beverly has not only won the Cable Award, but she has held numerous Delta Gamma volunteer positions, including Foundation Chairman: Aid to the Blind; Fraternity Nominating Committee; Zeta Xi chapter adviser and House Corporation president; Regional Membership Coordinator; Council Appointed Coordinator; Region 3 Housing Director; Fraternity Director: Housing/Chairman Fraternity Housing Corporation; Fraternity Housing Future Work Group; and various offices, including president with the Birmingham Alumnae chapter.

When Beverly attended her first alumnae event, she was hoping to simply reconnect with some sisters from college. While that did happen, she says the best part was the new friends she made that day. In her words, "the gift I received from attendance at that event was not the one I expected but one that I treasure to this day. Stay involved whenever you can. You never know where it will lead you!"

Extending Her Generosity Into the Future
As a sales professional with more than 25 years of experience, Beverly is a successful career woman who has chosen to include the Delta Gamma Foundation in her estate plans. She came to this decision for two reasons:

"One, I served on the Foundation team for four years as Chairman of Aid to the Blind. That experience taught me what real sisterhood is all about. The many lives we touched with the support of our visually impaired members and the impact we made with our donations and service to organizations serving the visually impaired community truly touched my heart. I want to do my part to continue that. And two, I think it is incumbent on those of us who are single and have no children or family members who will need our assistance after we are gone to strongly consider how we can best 'Do Good' with our resources. The things that are near and dear to our hearts while we are living should also be remembered when we are gone."
