As a collegian at Florida State University in the late 1970s, I had no idea how much Delta Gamma would make an impact on my life. Let's face it-when you are in college, you live in the "now," not thinking about the future. I was a typical member who was there for the fun and the sisterhood. In other words, I really enjoyed my collegiate days!

After graduation, I moved to Miami and worked in the retail-buying field for a large department store. At that time Delta Gamma took a backseat in my life, but it was about 1987 when the "DG bug" bit me. I attended an alumnae meeting in my area and met some new friends. Soon after I was asked to be an adviser for a collegiate chapter and I jumped in with both feet. From then on I have never looked back and continue to enjoy all the volunteer opportunities that Delta Gamma has put before me, including Province Collegiate Chairman, Fraternity Director: Collegiate Programming; Regional Director, Convention Chairman; and (currently) Director: Service for the Delta Gamma Foundation. I owe so much to Delta Gamma. How do I ever repay her?

I was at a Delta Gamma meeting when someone mentioned The Charter Group. I was curious and wanted to know more about this group. I wanted to make a difference for the future of Delta Gamma and thought, This is it! I joined The Charter Group because of what the Delta Gamma Foundation supports and I knew that this support would help light the future and continue their good works. I am always so proud of the Delta Gamma Foundation and the programs that they support. It is the least I can do to try to say thank you for all that Delta Gamma has given to me.

I feel good knowing that the support I have given through my planned gift to the Delta Gamma Foundation will continue into the future. Delta Gamma began with three young women in 1873, and look at what she is today! I know that my planned gift will continue to help Delta Gamma grow, and I am so glad to be a small part of that.
