In August of 2007, we lost our sister Edna Quest Adams, Omega-Wisconsin, at the age of 96. She was an extremely loyal Delta Gamma donor and volunteer who included the Delta Gamma Foundation in her will in the form of an unrestricted bequest.

Generosity was a virtue that Edna lived by. She belonged to the Woman's Club of Louisville and was a strong supporter of the Louisville Deaf Oral School. Edna's granddaughter, Laura, shared with us that every year, Edna's Garden Committee worked for months on items to sell at the annual Christmas bazaar. "She was very crafty and made beautiful needlepoint pillows, stools and many other projects for her friends and family. She knitted sweaters and could also crochet. I was fortunate enough to have her teach me all of those things." In addition to the Woman's Club, Edna was a patron of the arts and in her native Louisville and was very active in her local church.

Edna's granddaughter, Laura, also spoke to us about Edna's passion for women's education and scholarship. Laura felt that her grandmother would have loved her bequest to be used for Delta Gamma scholarships and the Board of Trustees agreed. The Edna Quest Adams Memorial Scholarship Fund was recently created and will generate at least two undergraduate scholarships every year, in perpetuity.

Today, because of Edna's love for Delta Gamma and commitment to education, she will affect the lives of Delta Gammas forever.
